Gopher tortoise......I am a little slow in posting..ahem...Today was the last day for Art Every Day for the month of November! I was able to fulfill all but 5 days of some type of art! It was a great challenge. December is really busy , which is good, but in between I will be creating for Christmas and will get some posts in. If I don't get around to your blogs as much , it is only because I am going to be pet sitting at different houses plus doing the Christmas creative madness and won't have as much time! Lots going on! Peace and Love !

  4. 25 days of creating art everyday - you did amazing! No worries about moving slow etc - the holidays are always busy for everyone - and I have stuff I still haven't gotten done from the past year. We all just do what we can do, when we can do it! xo

  6. Hi Pam. I love that big tortoise. You are busy too, I see. I think it's great that you petsit. I have 3 family pet members and I love them all. I had chorizo for 14 years and she passed in 2007 and wow, she is missed. She was almost like my soul and in fact she was a major part of my soul. God bless you Pam. Have great holidays. Take care.

  7. What a beautiful tortoise and capture. This has just reminded me of the community of elders I was welcomed at when I was working as a Community Engagement Worker. They were from a small island in Mauritius. We took them on a trip alongside a couple of other elders in the community to Sea Life, and the first thing they said-was that they eat them back at home and that big too.
Hopefully this hasn't spoiled any eating on that side.
I hope you are well and It was good to see your messages on my blog. I am latetly replying to them now. (over a weeks post)
Sending you wishes, and hope you are well and having fun on your pet sitting adventures.
Look forward to hearing from you.

  9. Pam,
Do you feel your life has slowed down? Is it calmer?

About the sewing machine. I don't know much about what is out there now. I feel like I spent way too much for a machine with tricks that I never use. I would suggest finding one as mechanical as possible. My all time favorite machine is the Singer 401 circa 1959! There is a Computerized singer that our Hancocks fabrics sell for around $200 that I have used for my kids classes and it seems to be a fairly good machine. I would look for one that just does the basics. Forward, backwards, zig zag, decent buttonholes, fast drive, ability for free motion and drop the feed dogs, manual ability to set the needle position, something that will drive over heavey fabrics and light weights. Some of the older machines are cheap and work better than the "Barbie" machines that are on the market now..
