Why I am manifesting a new camera...SLR please.  My Canon Powershot  just isn't getting it anymore.  I am missing some fantastic shots ...need a decent zoom to get great wildlife photos.  Who knew I would turn into a photographer(   I use that term lightly)

I guess this has been Wildlife week ...Today was perfectly perfect.  71 degrees, sunny , breezy , delightful  ripe for a bike ride to the Barefoot Beach Preserve.  THe animals were out and about on the trail.... A baby Armadillo! so cute!  Look closely.. .

Same kind of day as yesterday... I will be finished with this pet sitting job tomorrow and will be home...will post photos .  It's been an interesting 2 weeks for me. NO TV has been a good thing, usually  I  only watch Discovery, Animal Planet and PBS.  Viewed some DVDs which I probably would never have seen.. and they were good  Rushmore...THe 13th Warrior , THe Golden Compass...Eulogy,  that's what was here.   Have a groovy weekend!

Overcast and grey today.....with T storms head this way. No bike rides in store. My journal is waiting for some artwork anyway!  THere are so many birds in the tree right outside my window making a big fuss...must be discussing what to do about the nasty weather,,haha

Creative Every Day in some form or another...

This morning my plan was to bike to the Calusa Nature Center and planetarium http://www.calusanature.com  . I hopped on Firefly(ok, yes, I named my bike) and took off ,but alas  it is super windy  today and I didn't get very far. ...will try again tomorrow.  Meanwhile, back at the ranch  I am working on my 2010 journal. When I get back home next week I do have photos of my adventures and will post them.  I have joined in Creative Every Day... whether it will be a photo, a painting, collage, poem, working on my 2010 journal..something BIG or small.... At the moment I can't post pics, but certainly will do so asap! Happy creating! I took up the challenge of  Creative Every Day Month in November and I did all but 5 days.  I'm ready again!

Just returned from a round trip 18 mile bike ride to Six Mile Cypress Slough(slew) google it. . It was a really cool experience to walk through..very peaceful and quiet amidst nature...but even there I encountered A**holes who were standing in the middle of serenity loudly discussing their latest work related crap.11 minutes ago clear

I have been computerless for the past week while pet sitting in the boonies with no car, no cable and no computer.  What have I been doing?  Riding my bike all over Fort Myers Florida. I sure am getting in shape..haha.  I am talking serious miles of  4 to 5 hours pedaling my arse everywhere..  It's all flat and my bike is great so I covered a lot of territory because of the  wide sidewalks that stretch for miles  and miles through the cow pastures and through the towns. It is amazing what you do when forced to occupy yourself aside from the norm!  I did bring art supplies, but the weather is fabulous and I cannot stay indoors.   I do have a computer now.... good thing since I am here for another week. Check this out...Here in the middle of nowhere..about a 10 minute bike ride is http://www.normanloveconfections.com    Chocolates to die for!  Plus they serve a mean cuppa coffee!  The Chocolat Fairy and the Coffee Angel were watching over me for sure .  Upon first spotting the shop, I thought it was a mirage ;}

I've been on pet sitting duty and the computer is very iffy so it is hard to post anything, no photos . I'll be on another  job for 2 weeks...til the 24th of January,  with the same computer problem. I need  my own laptop.but I am planning on buying a used van in March.It is very cold  and rainy today ...brrr... dark and gloomy.
