Springtime in SW Florida

I guess this has been Wildlife week ...Today was perfectly perfect.  71 degrees, sunny , breezy , delightful  ripe for a bike ride to the Barefoot Beach Preserve.  THe animals were out and about on the trail.... A baby Armadillo! so cute!  Look closely.. .

And of course  I met up with my friend Mr, Gopher Tortoise.( I swear he looks like he's tokin a joint...hey..don't Bogart that joint ,my friend...)I should have been a Conservationist.

    I haven't been to the Barefoot trail in ages. Is there anything cuter than armadillo ears? Racers are beautiful - liquid moving shadows.

    Love your nature walks there's so much to see. I never have seen an armadillo in the wild. CUTE!
    Actually never have seen a bogarting turtle either. My son used to love snakes and so I've had them in my house. Once he let a red racer go in the LR. Then he got a Burmese Python...that's when he moved out and got a place of his own.
    Anything else?? OK that's it for now.
    Hey it's Friday night and I'm at home
    like most Fridays
    Oh well.
