Raggy Dolls...

The children wanted to make rag dolls with button eyes after watching Coraline (creepy movie ,if ya ask me!) So..I found a free online pattern HERE { go to free ragdoll pattern } and hand sewed these ....but the muslin frayed really bad so I couldn't turn them inside out. Actually , I like them better this way.
I need pinking shears ..that would help. I did the sewing ,but the kiddos picked out the eyes (ewww, that didn't sound good).......etc.

    I haven't seen the movie but your dolls remind me of the ads I saw for it. I like the frayed edges....they just add to that look. Very cool project!

    Everyone is sewing lately.
    I guess I'll have to jump in and do something too.

    They turned out great! I didn't see the movie, but I read the book - it is kinda creepy (my grandgirls loved it though - they're starting into liking the 'spooky fun,' stage. I think the frayed edges add to the whole Coraline-like image. Looks like you're having lots of fun with those kiddos.

    Hi Pam,
    I saw your comment over at Fifi's and I thought I'd come over and see what you've been up to. I have been wondering what happened to you, I knew it would be something so good. The last I remember, you had packed up your gorgeous VW and were moving. Hope life has treated you well with much happiness since then.     Hi Pam,

    Love the dolls! I'm still around, just very busy as I just purchased a condo that needs a LOT of work. Unfortunately, it has kept me away from the computer and my blog. I should be done most of the renovations by next week, so I will be posting pictures soon!
