After April...October is my second favorite month. Something about October...whether I am in a seasonal climate or not conjures up autumn...here in the South we don't have Fall as such, but you can tell a difference in the air. The mornings this week have become cooler and dryer. Shadows are longer...makes want to pull on a pair of jeans and toss on a cute scarf...alas too warm ..still in shorts and tanks. It is so lovely to sit out in the early morning with a hot cup of coffee and drink it without sweating! After spending last winter in Portland, OR where it was dark , dreary, cold and wet and snowy ...I will never complain about the heat again. Tomorrow I am going to the beach... to celebrate Autumn! hah

  1. Hi Pam,
Have fun at the beach tomorrow. I'm with you about loving October. They say Autumn weather will be here this weekend for a couple days, I can't wait. Thanks for checking in on me while I was away - very nice! I really love the lapiz shells on your sidebar, pretty... makes me want to go to the beach too.

  3. Though it's not cool enough for scarfs and such here either, the weather is perfect here right now. cool in the mornings & evenings - and surprisingly, just warm - not too hot - even in the afternoons the last couple of days. I love October!

  5. It was a 4x4" puzzle piece. Pat had a swap and everyone swaped out 4. I was fortunate enough to have recieved one from the Queen herself! I'm trying to figure out something cool to do with them but no ideas have emerged yet.
I have been thinking of you often. We put our house on the market yesterday with NO PLAN in sight! I'm now trying to down size, which is VERY difficult with so much stuff that can become more cool stuff! I'm sad, overwhelmed yet know it has to be done....a bit of grieving going on here still....I admire that you did it...but don't know how you did!

  8. October is beautiful in the Bay Area. I grew up in Oregon so I know all about those dark grey gloomy days. It is beautiful there about three months out of the year tho.
