The beauty of a rose. a rose by any other name would smell as sweet

I worked on painting backgrounds for my journal

Made some mini flags for gardens! Inspiration from Sharon at
All Norahs art...she is so cool to share her ideas!

This one spoke to me...I haven't been moved to add anything else yet. I have tons of ephemera, but only these 2 fit my feeling so far.

This week's True Tales of Nature:

This beauty was swimming in the canal,,don't be afraid...its only a non poisonous water snake.

It is so sad to me that people kill snakes for no reason other than ....it is a snake therefor all snakes are bad and must be destroyed. Snakes are a natural part of the environment and crucial to our ecosystem. Learn about the different species (poison and non poison) in your area and why they are vital to sustaining the delicate balance of the earth around you! Be informed!
They make make you squeamish...but at least Be informed! ~~~'
He who made kittens put snakes in the grass'...Jethro Tull

Gosh Pam,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed getting caught up with you this morning.Love all your journal pages that you have started and especially the one with the two bits glued down. Your garden flags are wonderful. Makes me want to do some more. Think I'll go in the garden to do it.
Pam ~
ReplyDeleteYour flags are wonderful and so are your backgrounds. I also enjoy your nature shots! I have never been bothered by snakes ~ as a young gal, my parents made sure that I knew the difference between a harmful one and a non-venomous one and since I have lost my fear. But spiders ~ that is a very different story.
Glad you have your camera with you now ~ I always enjoy your photos. Yes! I am back from Florida with many happy memories! Blessings, Kt
The page with the Chief on horseback is PERFECT.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to see how happy you are in your new home. xoxoxo
LOVE the little flags! Your art is wonderful and your life is a GREAT, BIG, BEAUTIFUL piece of art!
ReplyDeleteSnakes have gotten a bad reputation since that whole story about the garden and the apple!
Pammie you are one with nature swimming in the canal. I can so see that your soul is at peace in your new location that you call home. You are taking in every adventure! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteSnakes freak me out, but I don't kill 'em.
