Greyhounds are such beautiful, easygoing , elegant dogs. They are so calm.

Homeward Bound Greyhounds As most of you know, rescuing Greys is a passion of mine. Many of these sweet dogs are still killed if they stop winning races and can't be fostered out. They are fed only enough to keep them alive until an adoption organization can take them in...after a while they are destroyed because the owners won't keep spending $$ on them. The owners do not care about these dogs ..they never even see them! ..it's all about the $$$$$$. I've fostered dogs before who came to me looking like skeletons. NEVER support Greyhound racing..tell your friends !!! . I'll step off my soapbox for ...for the moment.

ReplyDeleteYES indeed! My brother & sister in law adopted two beautiful greyhounds in this way! I was naive, I never knew that this went on before I knew them.

How did I miss this? They are such beautiful animals. Why are people so cruel at times. How could you look into those eyes and not fall in love!
