Calusa Blueway We launched the kayaks into the canal behind the house and paddled out to the Calusa Blueway! My first time ever kayaking. It was a biblical experience for me and I am forever hooked. A dolphin swam and splashed within reach ! A narrow waterway with Mangroves, it is overflowing with wildlife. I did not take my camera this outing , but you can bet it will be with me on all the rest of my paddling expeditions.

My camera was on zoom which made the pics fuzzy..but this is "Tangerine Dream", I named her..heh hehe. .

To even begin to describe the peace , tranquility, the feeling of being utterly at one with the Wild is impossible .. floating along evenly with the dark glassy waters...the dipping of the paddles dripping water, rhythm of wshhhwsssshh wsshhhhing smoothly along amidst Egrets, herons , dolphins , glorious tropical flowers....One of those moments in time when you forget all the ills of the world and realize that once upon a time ..long ,long ago it was like this for everyone.

Beautiful pictures! That sounds so relaxing. I'm usually not a water person as in getting in it or on it but I have to say you make it sound appealing.
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds postively glorious! I have never kayaked before so some day when i come to visit that we must do! Even better than a regular camera would be a video camera....though I think it may be hard to paddle and film at the same time, eh?
ReplyDeleteI swear Pam, you sound positively peaceful now that you're in Florida!
XOXOXOXO
Love the pictures. I think the fuzzy adds to the feel of the pics. Sounds like you are having a blast. Love Hugs and Blessings
